Twenty people believed to be involved in illegal drugs, including a high-value drug target and most wanted fugitive in eastern Metro Manila, were apprehended in separate operations in the past two days.

In Pasig City, Jan-jan Tulagan, 26, alias Ambo, was collared along A. Sandoval Avenue in Barangay Pinagbuhatan at around 12:30 a.m. yesterday.

Tulagan was the No. 1 most wanted person of the Eastern Police District (EPD).

The Pasig City regional trial court has issued warrants for the arrest of Tulagan for murder, homicide and frustrated murder, EPD director Chief Superintendent Romulo Sapitula said.

“We have been hunting him down for several months and the perseverance of the Pasig police paid off with his arrest,” Sapitula said.

A police officer who posed as a buyer arranged the purchase of P500 worth of shabu from Tulagan.

Tulagan, of Asilo Ville Subdivision in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, arrived at the meeting place in a blue Chrysler sport utility vehicle (JTT 827), according to Pasig police chief Senior Superintendent Orlando Yebra Jr.

Yebra said Tulagan was nabbed after he handed over a sachet of shabu to a policeman.

When frisked, Tulagan allegedly yielded five more packs of shabu.

Police confiscated Tulagan’s SUV, which he allegedly used in his drug pushing.

Tulagan is being held at the Pasig police jail pending his turnover to the court.

In Quezon City, 10 drug suspects were arrested in anti-narcotics operations on Monday night.

Four more suspects were nabbed in a drug sting in Barangay San Bartolome.

They were Diomedes Ramirez, 27; Felix Castro, 47; Ronnie Flestado, 26, and Jose Jerano Jacinto, 52.

The suspects allegedly yielded three sachets of shabu and P500 in marked money.
