DETOX TALK: YOUR HAIR IS STRESSED ANDYOU KNOW IT

- CHONX TIBAJIA

Sorry, can’t make it. Detoxifying my hair” is now a legit excuse to stay in. We’re all into self-care nowadays, and Tresemmé’s latest Detox and Nourish is one delicious — and important — product-slash-treat to add to any regimen. It’s a solution to hair stress, which is a real thing and not just another #FirstWorldProblem.

Is it really a surprise that hair is capable of stressing out, with the amount of heat, product and pollution it has to withstand daily? Modern lifestyles — including your newfound addiction to indoor cycling — contribute to hair stress. Sweat is one culprit — it dries out hair and irritates the scalp. I’ve been testing different clarifying shampoos that solve this problem (for me, hair stress manifests as “crispy” hair and an itchy scalp), but very few truly detoxify without the accompanying dryness.

Detox and Nourish is Tresemmé’s first detoxifying haircare range. With ingredients like ginger and green tea, which are naturally relaxing flavors to begin with. On hair, they are highly nourishing, and they also deliver that squeaky-clean feeling we want without drying. The range contains no parabens or dyes and is designed for daily use. Tresemmé recently launched the new line at Manila House with Tresetter Joey Mead as host. “I’ve always been on the lookout for a detoxifying haircare product. The new Tresemmé Detox and Nourish line is my perfect new regimen to go with my daily wellness routine,” she shares.

Tresemmé hair professional Henri Calayag also shared the best way to detoxify hair: “Do a double cleanse. First, shampoo the scalp, and then shampoo the hair. Follow with conditioner or treatment. Light and mild yet hardworking hair products, like Tresemmé Detox and Nourish, thoroughly clean and refresh the hair and scalp,” he says.
