In hopes of featuring and sharing stories of people who are forgotten or have been disregarde­d by society, Angela Lagunzad

(photo) officially launched her documentar­y show titled Istorya.

UNTV’s Istorya brings to viewers untold stories of everyday people. Dynamic storytelli­ng coupled with compelling visuals gives viewers a real feel of relevant issues and living conditions in the country.

On UNTV, Angela is a news anchor for the late afternoon newscast Ito Ang Balita and one of the hosts of the morning program Good Morning Kuya. She is also a trained rescuer, an advocate for the rights of Persons With Disability (PWD) and a former TV commercial model.

Early in her career, Angela was popularly known as Trapik Angel delivering traffic reports for trapik.com aired over radio stations DWLS, WAVE FM and Home Radio. She also writes on-air content for weather and entertainm­ent news.

Her involvemen­t in modeling led her to pursue a short course in fashion styling at the School of Fashion and the Arts. She has done endorsemen­ts for several local and foreignair­ed TV commercial­s. She has also walked the runway for John Rufo Couture in Ultra Vines Unmasked,a fashion campaign addressing violence against women and children.

She has done several documentar­ies for Istorya, among them were Trabaho, Pader ng Kasaysayan and Zorro. In 2016, Angela and her partner Diego Castro produced the documentar­y Butil, one of the finalists at the Save the Children Media Awards.

Istorya premieres on Sept. 23 at 5 p.m.
