BDO enables Sun Life payments

-

Sun Life Asset Management Co. Inc. (SLAMCI) has partnered with Sy-led BDO Unibank Inc. to give clients easy access to make investments in the Sun Life Prosperity Funds.

Under the partnership, SLAMCI clients could make subsequent investments in the funds through BDO’s electronic channels such as online banking, automatic teller machine (ATM), or over-the-counter (OTC) payments.

For online banking payments, BDO accountholders who are also Sun Life Prosperity Fund investors can invest by first enrolling the intended Sun Life Prosperity Fund as a biller before proceeding with payment.

On the other hand, for OTC payments, investors simply need to drop by any BDO branch, fill out a payment slip, and hand the payment to the teller.

“With the demands of daily life that our clients deal with, we’d like to offer them comfort and convenience in their investing experience. This is why apart from our Sun Life Client Service Centers, we’re striving to offer more venues and platforms through which they can invest,” SLAMCI president Valerie Pama said.

“Through SLAMCI’s Bills Payment Facility, they now have the option of investing by simply visiting any of BDO’s branches or accessing their BDO Online Banking account,” she added.

Pama pointed out SLAMCI intends to partner with more banks to process bills payments made to the Sun Life Prosperity Funds.

“This way, our investors can easily stay on track in their journey towards their financial goals,” she said.
