Drug war: 7 killed in Luzon

Seven persons were killed in separate drug-related incidents in Bulacan and Rizal in the past two days.

Two of the three fatalities in Bulacan were killed in alleged encounters with police officers. The other was shot dead by motorcycle-riding men.

Suspect Ronnie Sorio reportedly resisted arrest and fired at police officers during a sting in Sta. Maria town at past 2 a.m. yesterday.

On Wednesday, a certain Arvin was killed after he allegedly exchanged fire with undercover agents in Barangay Pinagbakah­an in Malolos, according to Senior Superinten­dent Romeo Caramat Jr., Bulacan police director.

Police said they recovered from the slain suspect five plastic sachets said to contain shabu and a hand gun.

Another drug suspect, identified as Ramer Reyno, alias Kimpee, was shot dead by motocycle-riding men in Barangay Poblacion, Plaridel town.

Police said Reyno was a newly identified drug trafficker in the village.

Meanwhile, in Rizal, Ronnie Dichoso was declared dead on arrival at a hospital while his companion Edison Nicoleta died at the scene after they were shot by motorcycle-riding men in Barangay Bagumbayan, Teresa on Wednesday.

Hospital staff reportedly recovered several plastic sachets said to contain shabu from Dichoso and Nicoleta, according to Rizal police director Senior Superinten­dent Alberto Ocon.

On the same day, a police asset identified as alias Kier was shot dead by unidentifi­ed assailants in nearby Rodriguez town.

Police said Kier was a witness in a drug case.

In Antipolo City, barker Isagani Galvez was shot dead by an unidentifi­ed assailant in Barangay Bagong Nayon 1.

Police said Galvez was on their drug list.
