A woman died after her car crashed to the ground from the fifth floor of an office building in Sta. Cruz, Manila on Friday night.

Police identified the victim as Marie Emmanuelle Calderon, a 34-year-old call center trainor and a resident of Barangay Daangbakal, Mandaluyong City.

Police officers who responded to the incident found a wrecked Suzuki Swift (UD 4179) lying upside down near the Vertex One building at the corner of Yuseco and Felix Huertas streets at around 11:35 p.m.

It took until 1 a.m. before rescue workers removed Calderon from the wrecked car using hydraulic equipment.

Calderon died upon arrival at the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center from severe head injuries.

According to initial reports, Calderon’s car hit the wall of the fifth-floor parking in the Vertex One building and fell through.

Police Officer 3 Marlon San Pedro, who is in charge of the case, refused to disclose other details.

Some employees at the building told reporters Calderon had been absent without leave for two days.

Meanwhile, Calderon’s last Facebook posts indicated what appeared to be a problem with an ex-boyfriend.

“When everyone in the world is struggling to survive there is one person who will carelessly tell you to die and will leave you thinking what freakin harm you did to them for you to deserve it even when you love them whole heartedly,” she posted at 10:51 p.m. on Sept. 28.

The post even included the link to a Facebook profile page – https://www.facebook. com/kk.eeen – which is unavailable, and a mobile phone number. She also attached two images to the post. One is a

screenshot of an exchange of messages and the other shows the identification card of Sean Tsui, the person named in the messages.

“Shin, inaantay ka raw ni M

sa labas nyo (Shin, M is waiting for you outside),” the sender said, apparently referring to the victim.

Sean replied with an expletive, telling the sender to tell M “mamatay na siya (she should die).”
