Aworthwhile tradition lives on as the Friends for Cultural Concerns of the Philippines (FCCP) recently held Artists & Friends Tea
Musicale at the Santuario de San Antonio Parish Center in Forbes Park, Makati City.
Led by FCCP president Nonie Basilio, directorin-charge Nene Pe Lim, event chair Menchu
Pascual and co-chair Noel Gonzales, the event is an annual cultural project that features the exceptional talents of FCCP’s young scholars and an opportunity for up-and-coming performers to gain exposure to a select group of musical patrons.
This year’s performers included Xerxes Anthony Navalta of the UP College of Music, Hannaniah Dasalla of St. Paul’s College, and the youth choirs Las Bonitas of Sta. Isabel College and the Minstrels of Hope Choir, which is composed of members from underprivileged backgrounds but now perform all over the world. The program also included the induction of FCCP’s new members.
Congratulations to the Friends for Cultural Concerns of the Philippines for another successful Artists and Friends Tea Musicale!* (The FCCP will be holding its 38th anniversary ball on Oct. 4, 6:30 p.m. at Makati Shangri-La. This year’s theme is Rhapsody in Blue of the FCCP. The FCCP committee, headed by president Nonie Basilio, director Tessie Rodrigo, chair Rose Lazaro and cochair Karen Macasaet, are encouraging members and friends to attend the event and help raise funds for FCCP’s scholarship program and cultural projects.)
