Duterte losing his mind – Trillanes

- By MARVIN SY

Their word war has raged for many months, but now Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV believes President Duterte has descended to the gutter and delivered a low blow.

Meeting the press at Malacañang yesterday, Duterte accused Trillanes of having only one testicle and said former Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) executive director Julia Bacay-Abad is the senator’s mistress or “kulasisi.”

In reaction, Trillanes said, “Nagkakawindang-windang na ’yung kanyang pag-iisip. ’Di ako magugulat na one day masisiraan ng bait ito (He’s losing his mind. I won’t be surprised if one day he’ll just snap).”

“I categorically deny the latest invented story of Duterte. It is saddening that he even dragged someone else into this,” Trillanes said. “In this case, it’s attorney Julia BacayAbad, who is known as a decent person, who has a family and always very professional in performing her duties as executive director of the AMLC.” He urged the President to

elevate the level of discourse and not resort to vulgarity to press his arguments and distract the nation’s attention from his alleged billions in bank accounts.

Trillanes said that he would leave it up to the public to dissect the implications of the President’s latest statements regarding the bank documents he submitted to the Office of the Ombudsman as part of his plunder complaint against the Chief Executive.

“Heto lang ang presidente na ubod ng bastos (He’s the only president who’s so uncouth),” the senator said. “Alam niyo, kung di lang napapaligiran ng PSG yan eh sarap batukan ano, kung di lang nakakatanda (You know, if he’s not surrounded by PSG, I would love to sucker punch him – if he’s not older). Anyway ang tao na maghusga kung anong klaseng tao yan (let the people judge what kind of person he is),” he added.

He said the President was just muddling the issue as there was no way he could answer allegations regarding his unexplained wealth.
