8 drug suspects slain
Eight suspected drug personalities were gunned down in separate incidents in Luzon on Thursday.
An alias Tepan, a resident of Malolos; Kulot and an unidentified man of Norzagaray, Jojo of Bocaue and Jose Domingo, alias Ulo, of Hagonoy shot it out with anti-drug operatives in Bulacan, Senior Superintendent Romeo Caramat, provincial police acting director, said.
Police Officer 3 Rufino Ramirez Jr. of the Quezon City police was driving his motorcycle when he was waylaid in Barangay Malanday, San Mateo, Rizal. He died while being treated at the Ynares Medical Hospital.
Senior Superintendent Albert Ocon, Rizal police director, said Ramirez was suspended for his alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade.
Gecris Suraliza reportedly drew his gun when he sensed he had sold shabu to undercover agents at a lodging house in Barangay Pasiagon, Placer, Masbate.
In Pampanga, the body of a man stuffed in a sack was found along the megadike in Barangay Maliwalu, Bacolor.
A piece of cardbard identifying the victim as a drug pusher, rapist and robber was recovered near his body.
2 shot dead
Sandrex Bicoy, a native of Zambonga Sibugay, was shot by unidentified men in Barangay Sampaloc, Apalit also in Pampanga.
Bicoy’s sister Sherilyn said gunmen wearing jackets with hoods barged into their house and shot her brother several times.
Farmer Amado Camo, 47, had just arrived home from a drinking spree when his wife heard gunshots. When she checked on her husband, she found him lying on the ground bloodied.
Probers have yet to determine the motives for the killings.
