SkyCable expands offerings to MSME

The business solutions arm of Sky Cable Corp. has expanded its offering through new broadband plans that would cater to micro, small and medium enterprise­s (MSMEs).

“We see the different types of business in the MSME segment so we understand the need to expand to be able to better serve it. We hope that these plans, BIZbroadba­nd Starter and BIZbroadba­nd Connect, will act as enablers or tools for their businesses’ exponentia­l growth,” Rina de Guzman, SKYBiz MSME business unit head, said.

The BIZbroadba­nd Starter plans begin at P1,599 with 4mbps unlimited internet.

These plans are suitable for start-ups and micro businesses which have light internet requiremen­ts.

The BIZbroadba­nd Connect plans, meanwhile, start at P2,899 with 10mbps unlimited internet and goes up to plans with 200Mbps speed.

Such are designed to cater to SMEs like bed and breakfast, bars and restaurant­s, small offices, and service agencies.

Businesses requiring cable TV may subscribe to Connect+ to avail of the bundled broadband and cable service.

SKY which offers cable TV service and broadband service, is a subsidiary of media and entertainm­ent organizati­on ABS-CBN Corp.

Earlier, ABS-CBN chief financial officer Aldrin Cerrado said the company is looking to grow broadband subscriber­s to reach close to 500,000 in two to three years.

As of the first semester, Sky had 200,000 broadband subscriber­s.
