30 unlicensed guns seized in S. Kudarat

SULTAN KUDARAT – At least 30 unlicensed firearms were recovered in a joint police and military operation in Columbio town in this province on Thursday.

Twenty-six shotguns, three caliber .22 rifles and an M14 rifle were seized from residents of Sitio Lam-is, Barangay Datalbao.

Chief Inspector Aldrin Gonzales, Soccsksargen police spokesman, said the crackdown was launched amid a rash of shooting incidents in the area.

The campaign against loose firearms is in line with Oplan Galugad of the Philippine National Police.
