Student raped, killed in Cagayan

A 20-year old student was found dead in an irrigation canal in Zone 6, Barangay Santor, Baggao, Cagayan on Wednesday night.

Fedelyn Danga, 20, of St. Joseph’s College was also believed to have been raped as medical examination showed laceration in her genitals.

Initial investigation showed Danga sent a text message to her aunt that she would be riding the motorcycle of a certain Ichel on her way home.

The suspect, who was later identified as Nolixer Dumayag, 30, was arrested in a follow-up operation.
