Regetta Canoe is made for food crawls
Regetta Canoe, a Japanese footwear brand developed by Yasuo Takamoto back in 2012, recently teamed up with Res|Toe|Run to launch the Regetta Canoe Food Walks.
The first installment was held last Sept. 26. With the help of Old Manila Walks, select women on-the-go and moms went on a guided tour around Binondo.
Each of the participants was given her own Regetta Canoe sandals along with a walking kit, which included a pedometer to keep track of their steps.
The first half of the Food Walk involved a tour around historical sites in Binondo — the Binondo Church, Basilica de San Lorenzo Ruiz, and Plaza Calderon dela Barc. They then proceeded to Ongpin street to sample Chinese delicacies and explore traditional Chinatown shops. Last stop was Res|Toe|Run store at Lucky Chinatown Mall where the participants got to check out the latest Regetta Canoe sandals and reveal their pedometer steps.
A P10,000 voucher was given to those who managed to get 5,000 and above steps, P5,000 for those with 3,000-5,000 steps, and P2,500 for those with 1,000-3,000 steps as tracked by their pedometers.
Through the Regetta Canoe Food Walk, the brand aims to educate the participants about the importance of having the proper footwear in taking on various activities and adventures and to experience for themselves what Regetta Canoe is all about.
Regetta Canoe sandals are equipped with the brand’s five Canoe Sole Comforts: posture enhancement, impact absorption, blood circulation improvement, heel and toe protection, and certified animal-friendly construction.
