2017 Int’l Convention on Quality Control Circles set
On Oct. 24-27 the Philippines will be hosting again a big event participated by different countries worldwide – the 2017 International Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC), with the theme, “Quality Teams Evolved: Driving Change and Sustainability Through Quality Circle Evolution” to be held at Okada Manila.
The ICQCC is the yearly venue for exchanging ideas and experiences on QC Circle activities or team-based improvement programs among countries to further the development of its activities, program, and practitioners.
The convention’s objectives are to promote professional development and growth, teamwork, camaraderie and problem solving skills through project presentations.
The Quality and Productivity Association of the Philippines Inc. (QPAP), formerly the Productivity Improvement Circles Association of the Philippines that was established in 1980, is again the host for this year’s international convention, headed by Jubie Tamayo, president of QPAP and Anthony San Mateo, QPAP’s immediate past president and the 2017 ICQCC chairman.
The delegates from the top performing organizations in the Philippines and all the ICQCC country coordinating organizations number about 1,500.
San Mateo noted that all know that it’s more fun in the Philippines, thus, there will be a lot of entertainment showcasing the beauty of the country.
These include various artists like Buganda Dancers, Sindaw Dance Group, Higantes Group, Heat of the Night Band with Caren Tevany, DJ Natalia Moon, Gabriela Ortega, and Giselle Sanchez, among the star-studded line up and in partnership with the Tourism Promotions Board of the Philippines, headed by Cesar Montano.
