2017 Int’l Convention on Quality Control Circles set

On Oct. 24-27 the Philippine­s will be hosting again a big event participat­ed by different countries worldwide – the 2017 Internatio­nal Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC), with the theme, “Quality Teams Evolved: Driving Change and Sustainabi­lity Through Quality Circle Evolution” to be held at Okada Manila.

The ICQCC is the yearly venue for exchanging ideas and experience­s on QC Circle activities or team-based improvemen­t programs among countries to further the developmen­t of its activities, program, and practition­ers.

The convention’s objectives are to promote profession­al developmen­t and growth, teamwork, camaraderi­e and problem solving skills through project presentati­ons.

The Quality and Productivi­ty Associatio­n of the Philippine­s Inc. (QPAP), formerly the Productivi­ty Improvemen­t Circles Associatio­n of the Philippine­s that was establishe­d in 1980, is again the host for this year’s internatio­nal convention, headed by Jubie Tamayo, president of QPAP and Anthony San Mateo, QPAP’s immediate past president and the 2017 ICQCC chairman.

The delegates from the top performing organizati­ons in the Philippine­s and all the ICQCC country coordinati­ng organizati­ons number about 1,500.

San Mateo noted that all know that it’s more fun in the Philippine­s, thus, there will be a lot of entertainm­ent showcasing the beauty of the country.

These include various artists like Buganda Dancers, Sindaw Dance Group, Higantes Group, Heat of the Night Band with Caren Tevany, DJ Natalia Moon, Gabriela Ortega, and Giselle Sanchez, among the star-studded line up and in partnershi­p with the Tourism Promotions Board of the Philippine­s, headed by Cesar Montano.
