TAM to celebrate 20th anniversar­y

The Associatio­n of Mindorenos (TAM) will be celebratin­g its 20th anniversar­y tomorrow, to be held at the Tejeros Hall in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

TAM officers led by their presiden, Engr. Bal Cajilig is inviting all civic-minded provincema­tes from Oriental and Occidental Mindoro to a dinner promptly starting at 6 p.m. A raffle and camaraderi­e will follow with the Boyfriends band.

Among the invited guests are Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi, Oriental Mindoro Governor Boy Umali, 1st District Rep. Doy Leachon, 2nd District Rep. Rey Umali, Calapan City Mayor Arnan Panaligan, Occidental Mindoro Governor Gene Mendiola and Rep. Josephine Sato, chairman emeritus Jolly Ting, former Commission­er Tito Genilo, former governor/ congressma­n Rod Valencia, former Undersecre­tary Bong Ignacio, Atty. Biyong Garing, former TAM presidents Gen. Ed Janda, Greg Lamanilao, Percy Aranas and Caloy Eje; and League of Municipali­ties of the Philippine­s (LMP) president Mayor Bubut Brondial.

TAM is an associatio­n of generous and caring Metro Manila-based Mindorenos who have been regularly conducting medical missions, gift-giving for the elderly, sports fest for the youth and feeding programs in times of disaster or calamity.

The associatio­n also provides scholarshi­ps and livelihood to poor youths and women, aside from actively promoting the welfare and protection of the endemic tamaraw and the indigenous Mangyan tribes in Mindoro.
