Muntinlupa provides free shuttle, candles on Oct 31 and Nov 1

For those visiting the graves of their loved ones on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 in Muntinlupa, the local government will be providing free shuttle services to public and private cemeteries in the city.

Muntinlupa public informatio­n officer Tez Navarro said 12 electronic jeepneys will be deployed in the national road to ferry constituen­ts visiting the six cemeteries in the city.

The public may also avail of free shuttle from National Road going to the cemeteries through City Bus and 18 flexi-trucks.

Pick up points of free shuttle services are the following: Susana Heights Bus Terminal (Everest Hills Memorial Park), Plaza Central (Japanese Cemetery), Caltex Station - Soldiers Hills (Muntinlupa City Public Cemetery/Aglipay Cemetery), and Sucat East Service Road to Alabang Montillano St., to M.L Quezon St., to Meralco Road Loop (San Nicolas de Tolentino Cemetery).

Muntinlupa community affairs and developmen­t office and Ospital ng Muntinlupa will be installing booths for medical assistance, free water, and free candles for the public.

Mayor Jaime Fresnedi ordered Muntinlupa police and the City Disaster Council to augment security in the city’s six cemeteries to ensure peace and order on the celebratio­n of All Saints’ Day.

The mayor urges the public to follow cemetery regulation­s and wishes them a peaceful celebratio­n of the holiday.
