FFCCCII & ABS-CBN donate public schools
ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp. president Carlo Katigbak and other top executives recently held a meeting with Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) led by president Domingo Yap. Continuing the ethnic Chinese minority’s centuries-old tradition of socio-civic charities, FFCCCII will donate five public school buildings for poor rural regions in partnership with ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation, Inc.
Among many recent charities of FFCCCII include its July 25 giving P100,000 for each of the 101 government soldiers and police killed in the Marawi conflict. In December 2016, FFCCCII donated 15 public school buildings for Sulu province in response to Pres. Rody Duterte’s call to assist that region. FFCCCII has also donated drug rehabilitation centers in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. FFCCCII also supports the idealistic Filipino Chinese volunteer fire brigades nationwide.
Katigbak was accompanied by Broadcast head Cory Vidanes, News & Current Affairs head Ging Reyes, Public Service head Jun Dungo, chief of staff Linggit Tan and Corporate Communications head Kane Errol Choa, while Yap was accompanied by EVP Henry Lim Bon Liong, VP Mary Ng, VP Jeffrey Ng, Welfare Committee chairman Bonifacio Lui, assistant secretary general Reynard Hing and Media Committee chairman Wilson Lee Flores.
