A total of 125 people were killed by motorcycle-riding criminals nationwide from Oct. 10 to Nov. 5, records taken from the Philippine National Police (PNP) show.

Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa earlier vowed to finish off bike-riding killers.

“We will strike a blow against you, we will finish you off. We will hunt down those riding in tandem,” he said.

Majority of the victims were in Metro Manila with 19. The three other regions that registered the most number of fatalities are Soccsksargen with 18, Davao with 15 and Central Luzon with 12.

Fifty-five persons were injured while 183 survived without injuries.

A total of 327 incidents involving motorcycle-riding criminals were reported during this period. The PNP said 115 of the cases were motivated by robbery.

Forty-five cases were considered solved following the arrest the suspects and charges have been filed while 15 have been cleared. The remaining 267 cases are still under investigation.

Only 10 cases were found to be drug-related, PNP spokesman Chief Superintendent Dionardo Carlos said in a statement.

Of the 446 suspects involved, two were killed and 64 were arrested in police operations while 380 remain at large. –
