Guide to preparing gov’t bid documents

-

Early this year, the government released a new set of bidding documents to align with the new Procurement Law Implementing Rules and Regulations that took effect on Oct. 28, 2016.

To help those in the private sector who wants to participate in bidding transactions with the government and assist public officials in understanding these changes, the Center for Global Best Practices is holding a two-day seminar titled, “Best Practices Guide on How to Prepare Your Bidding Documents,” on Nov. 16 and 17, 2017 at the Manila Marriott Hotel, Pasay City. This program is highly recommended for heads of procuring entities, bids and awards committees (BACs) of national government agencies, local government units, GOCCs, BAC secretariat members, suppliers, contractors, consultants, and everyone who wants to participate in bidding for government projects.

This seminar will provide participants with a better understanding of the various provisions of the new bidding documents for the procurement of goods, infrastructure projects and consulting services.

Failure to successfully conclude procurement projects are normally due to faulty crafting of the TORs, requirements in the bidding docu- ments, and the disqualification of bidders are attributable to inability to align their bidding documents to the procurement guidelines.

This seminar will feature Marilou Reyes, who has 35 years of experience in procurement. Her accomplishments include being a procurement consultant for Australian aid funded projects in 10 provinces in the Visayas and Mindanao, managed by Coffey International Development and The Louis Berger Group in preparing bidding documents for the procurement of road projects. She had conducted lectures on the Procurement Law and its IRR and done operations manuals on procurement funded by the World Bank. Prior to this, she was with the Commission on Audit for 33 years as a state auditor doing procurement audits of different national government agencies, local government units and GOCCs.

Interested participants may avail of the early bird and group discounts for three or more participants. Preregistration is required in this limited seats only event. Register early to ensure seat availability.
