Rep. Alfred also trusts only Obagi
As an actor, Quezon City Rep. Alfred Vargas has to look good all the time, that’s why he takes good care of his body. “I follow a well-balanced diet,” said Alfred who is one of the only two male celebrity endorsers of House Of Obagi (HOO), the other being basketball star Marc Pingris. “My trainer told me that I can eat anything but in small portions. When you get used to it, you will learn how to adjust slowly to a high-protein/low-carb diet and you can elevate your training to the next level.” As a public official who is constantly in the public eye, Alfred observes the same routine. “Especially since if I am interviewed for the newscast,” he smiled, “the cameramen usually shoot me up close. So my face has to be smooth since it enhances your credibility and confidence. Like the other endorsers, I also trust only Obagi to take care of my face… my whole skin for that matter.” Launched in 2007, HOO’s promise was to transform skin in six weeks and a half with its triple- treat arsenal of prescription-strength Obagi medical products. The main one, the Obagi Nu-Derm System, is known for addressing a wide range of skin concerns, trusted by 300,000 patients and 15,000 dermatologists worldwide.
Now known as HOO Center for Dermatology, it has branched out to more comprehensive array of medical skin treatments using the latest lasers and machines, body contouring and weight management programs as well as plastic surgery procedures that enhance the face and the body.
HOO constantly renovates its range of services. The HOO Dermatology team has designed the HOO 360 series (360 Erase, 360 Renu, 360 Acne and 360 Bare), a highly specialized skin treatment programs.
Alfred is married to Italian-Filipina Jasmine Espiritu with whom he has two children.
“Jas is also health-conscious,” added Alfred, “so I have to keep up with her.”
His only problem is that he has a sweet tooth.
“Chocolate is my weakness,” he confessed. “It’s always an uphill battle for me to resist chocolates.”
