Good weather seen during Asean summit
Except for isolated thunderstorms, good weather will prevail over Metro Manila in the next three days as the country hosts the 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summits and Related Meetings.
The temperature in the capital will range from 24 to 32 degrees Celsius today until Wednesday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Luzon, except Palawan, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with possible isolated light to occasionally heavy rains due to localized thunderstorms.
The opening ceremony of the 31st ASEAN Summit and Related Summits will be held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines at 9 a.m. today and followed by a plenary session at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) at 10 a.m.
Tomorrow, President Duterte will host a lunch for East Asia Summit heads of state and other guests at the PICC.
Meanwhile, a low-pressure area off General Santos City will bring rains over Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao. It was spotted 205 kilometers southeast of the city as of 3 p.m. yesterday.
PAGASA said the weather system is not expected to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next three days.
