3 dead in road mishaps

Three persons died in separate vehicular accidents in Ilocos Norte and Iloilo in the past two days.

Tricycle driver Jhonfferson Domingo, 17, and his passenger Jaylord Gagarin, 15, were declared dead on arrival at the Laoag City General Hospital.

Domingo and Gagarin were traveling in Barangay Bengcag, Laoag City when they collided with an Isuzu Crosswind driven by Leand Mao, 18, at around 1:15 a.m.

Responding police officers arrested Mao after the incident.

Meanwhile, in Iloilo, Neo John Jaladoni died while his girlfriend was injured when their motorcycle skidded in Molo district shortly before dawn yesterday.

Reports said Jalandoni and Lavin Jardeleza came from a birthday party when they figured in the accident at around 3:30 a.m.

Police said the motorcycle was running at top speed in Barangay Calumpang, causing Jalandoni to lose control of the wheel. The victims were thrown off the motorcycle.
