Delegates visit Greenhills for souvenirs

Russian and Cambodian delegates of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit visited Greenhills Shopping Center in San Juan City yesterday to buy souvenirs.

The delegates were accom- panied by representatives from the Department of Tourism (DOT) and guarded by members of the Eastern Police District, EPD director Chief Superintendent Romulo Sapitula said.

“The delegates shopped for only a few minutes but they were happy with what they bought,” he said.

Four Russian delegates, accompanied by DOT’s Maryjane Vinuya, arrived in a tourist bus at around noon. They made a beeline for the pearl vendors, buying several pieces, and left after an hour, Sapitula said.

At about 3 p.m., three Cambodian delegates arrived at the mall and bought souvenirs for their loved ones.
