Maureen Disini x Ensembles
In 2008, Ensembles launched Ensembles Young Designers Series where they feature the country’s well-loved designers to bring chic and flattering clothes perfect for work to play. This year, for its ninth leg, Ensembles collaborates with its society fashion designer, Maureen Disini, for Holiday 2017.
Maureen studied at Milan’s Instituto Moda Burgo in 2009 and earned a diploma in Stilista di Moda. Her stay in Milan deepened Maureen’s knowledge and understanding of fashion. Her immersion in the so-called fashion capital molded her to be the designer that she is today. Maureen is also a former editor of
Philippine Tatler. Maureen seeks inspiration from all her travels, her ultimate style icon being Grace Kelly, who has also influenced her taste in fashion of “Less is more.” Hints of her pieces can also be attributed to her love for Philippine contemporary art such as Jake Verzosa, Nikki Luna and Olivia d’Aboville.
Maureen describes her aesthetic as “simple, easy and feminine,” the elements that every Ensembles woman looks for. The Ensembles x Maureen Disini Holiday 2017 is another collection of wardrobe staples and statement pieces perfect for work to play. The collection features Japanese crane paintings in both trendy silhouettes like flared sleeves and hi-lows, and classic forms such as sheath dresses and loose tops. It also features Maureen’s signature details such as drapes, bows, wraps and layers. A collection made by two womenswear powerhouses, this is definitely something to watch out for both in stores and online.
