STAR’s Wilson Flores featured in ANC

Fourteen-time CMMA and three-time Palanca awardwinning Philippine STAR columnist, realty entrepreneur, college teacher and Kamuning Bakery Café owner Wilson Lee Flores was featured in ABS CBN News Channel or ANC’s “The Boss” program hosted by Cathy Yang yesterday. There will be replays on ANC today at 3:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.; tomorrow at 4:30 a.m. and 10 a.m.; Sunday at 10 p.m.; and Monday at 9:30 a.m.

He recently won a record 14th Catholic Mass Media Award (CMMA) for his STAR columns and he has also previously won three Palanca literary awards.

Since 2013, Flores has donated four public schoolbuildings to poor barrios in support of the noble sociocivic project “Operation Barrio Schools” of the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. because he believes democratizing access to good public education is the best way to change society.

In December 2014, he bought Kamuning Bakery, revived it in 2015, then holds the annual civic project “World Pandesal Day” every Oct. 16 to give away free 50,000 pugon-baked breads and hold free medical/ dental/optical missions for urban poor families.

He also hosts the non-partisan “Pandesal Forum” at Kamuning Bakery Café to help elevate public discourse on issues. He has been invited to Flores host “Pandesal Forum sa Veritas” Mondays to Fridays 5:30 p.m. at Radio Veritas AM 846 kHz, online livestream www.veritas846.ph and Cignal TV channel 313.
