Aseana-Maynilad partnership to ensure uninterrupted water service

-

As part of Aseana City’s commitment to provide global service standards and to minimize the inconveniences of water disruptions to Aseana City locators, the Aseana Business Park Estate Association (ABPEA) recently renewed its partnership with Maynilad Services Inc. to provide water solutions management to the 204-hectare business district along Roxas Boulevard including carrying out emergency repairs within 16 hours or less.

“We know water is essential to life and business,” remarked Engr. Marvin General, utilities manager of ABPEA. “At the same time, accidents and unforeseeable circumstances can give rise to water interruptions. Our partnership with Maynilad ensures as much as possible the continuous delivery of water.”

General added that Maynilad’s and ABPEA’s shared goal is to have “zero water losses or non-revenue water” in Aseana City. Water system losses ultimately get passed on to the consumer.

In addition to monitoring water pressure and being responsive to unintentional damage by contractors, emer- gency services also include making readily available necessary spare parts needed to maintain the Aseana City water system.

Water quality is also constantly checked through regular testing for chemical traces conducted by Maynilad to assure potability of water before it is distributed to the 204-hectare community.

Aseana City will also be provided with backup water supply by Maynilad through a reservoir, in the event of water shortage in Metro Manila.

Aseana City is an emerging economic and tourism hub along Roxas Boulevard, which houses a number of office buildings, hotel, retail and residential developments. It is a short distance from Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard and is easily accessible to urban dwellers coming from the metro through the NAIA expressway. More commuters are expected to traverse the area with the LRT 1 extension set for completion by 2021.
