11 drug suspects fall in QC

At least 11 drug suspects were arrested and P120,000 worth of shabu were seized in separate stings in Quezon City on Saturday.

The first sting led to the arrest of Maricel Palomar, 42, Jovy Albeus and Geli Tejada at Veterans Village along Olivas street in Barangay Pasong Tamo at around 3 p.m.

Police said they were able to buy P1,000 worth of shabu from Palomar.

Authoritie­s said they recovered 10 more packs of shabu from Albeus and Tejada.

Five persons were apprehende­d at a shanty allegedly used as a drug den along 14th Avenue in Barangay Socorro at around 11:30 p.m.

They were Luis Sarzuela, 25; Analyn Villanueva, 53; Miguel Beras, 28; Rommel Catabian and a 17-yearold suspect.

The five allegedly yielded eight sachets of shabu, marijuana and drug parapherna­lia.

Police nabbed a suspected drug pusher, known only as Buddy Boy, after he allegedly sold P500 worth of shabu to a police officer who posed as a buyer.

Members of the Cubao police collared Ruben Sarzuela, 56, and Divina Dassala, 52, during an antinarcot­ics operation along 15th Avenue in Barangay San Roque.

The two allegedly yielded six sachets of shabu and P500 in marked money.

The drug busts led to the confiscati­on of P120,000 worth of shabu, authoritie­s said.
