I, too, am not a fan of extremely cold weather; that is why I go to great lengths to make sure I stay warm. Fortunately, technology extends even to fashion and it has gifted us with apparel that is as practical as it is functional. Top of mind is Uniqlo and their HeatTech Range. You can choose from three types — HeatTech (light yet warm, not bulky), HeatTech Extra Warm (ideal for very cold days), HeatTech Ultra Warm (best for intense cold). They come in tops and bottoms, in basic colors and in different styles, too, so there are countless options that make layering fun and easy. That really is the key: layering.
A topcoat is very important, too, and it goes without saying that you must choose one (or two) that have insulation technology. You may want to check out North Face — their many types of jackets are developed to address specific needs and designed to keep you all snuggly and warm. Recently, North Face has also collaborated with known fashion designers so their jackets are the most stylish they have ever been! Hopefully, this is something they continue to pursue so that form and function always go hand-in-hand. Then there is Moncler, which also never disappoints.

Your best bet against dark circles

I have really dark eye bags. I’ve tried using many concealer brands, but they don’t seem to work in covering them. Help! JACKIE
Concealers cover imperfections but do not help correct discolorations. To get rid of dark circles, a product with a salmon-based hue is the most effective. A salmon-colored product effectively neutralizes bluish-toned imperfections, making it the perfect cover-up makeup for your dark under-eye circles — even scars, age spots, and varicose veins! I’ve tried salmoncolored correctors and it really can cover even my birthmark and bruises. So imagine what it can do to really dark eye bags. Many brands offer color-correcting face bases and products so this won’t be hard to find. RISSA
