Drug suspect slain, 10 others nabbed

A man believed to be involved in drugs was killed and 10 others were arrested in Metro Manila on Tuesday night.

Sol Amil, 26, died at the scene from multiple gunshots to the body.

Probers said Amil was standing in front of his house in Port Area, Manila when Rannie Tarrayo allegedly opened fire at around 6 p.m.

Senior Inspector Rommel Anicete of the Manila Police District homicide unit said they recovered a sachet of shabu at the scene.

In Caloocan City, two men were collared for alleged posession of shabu.

Kelvin Dilao, 20, of Barangay 154 in Bagong Barrio, admitted to police that he was into drug pushing.

He allegedly yielded 12 packs of shabu, marijuana leaves and a handgun.

Giovanni Concepcion, 49, was caught in another drug bust in Barangay Camarin.

Eight more drug suspects were apprehende­d by police in separate stings in southern Metro Manila.

They were Jennifer Mateo, 31; Adonis Canque, 34; Edward Landas; 43; Jhune Belicario, 35; Pauline San Pedro, 19; Aureber Mariano, 55; Jason Juson, 38, and Marvin Abellera Manansala.

Police said they recovered from the suspects sachets of shabu, drug parapherna­lia and the marked money.

The suspects are being held by police on charges of violating Republic Act 9165, the Comprehens­ive Dangerous Drugs Act.
