Star-studded Dinagyang at iloilo Business Park
Iloilo Business Park is rolling out a star-studded grand celebration as it takes part in the 50th anniversary of one of the biggest and most colorful festivities in the country, the Dinagyang Festival.
Musical performances from today’s most popular bands, OPM and TV stars headline the jampacked weekend festivity, which is set to be made even more colorful and vibrant by world-class and uniquely Ilonggo cultural showcases.
The festivities kick off with the Dinagyang Warriors Parade at the Festive Walk Parade tomorrow, Jan. 26 until Jan. 28. The colorful parade will see dance troupes in colorful and elaborate costumes performing street dances as they go around Festive Walk Parade from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The party continues in the evening with rocking performances at the Viva Music Festival. Lighting up the night with electrifying performances at the Megaworld Boulevard are top rock bands Chicosci, Franco and Urbandub. Singer-songwriter Clara Benin will also give the audience a taste of her “coffee shop” music with her own live performance at the Festive Walk
Parade at 11 p.m. The celebration goes up a notch on Jan. 27 with the Dinagyang Car Show, where over
150 modified and designed cars will be on display at the Festive
Walk Parade. Fans of Kapuso stars Bianca Umali and Miguel Tanfelix, meanwhile, can catch their idols as they perform live at the GMA Mall Tour happening at 5:30 p.m.
Highlighting the celebrations on Jan. 27 is the much-awaited first Dinagyang Float and Lights
Parade. Over 50 colorful floats from various organizations are expected to join the inaugural parade, which will go around downtown Iloilo City and gather at the Iloilo Business Park for its final stop around 7 p.m.
Revelers can continue their celebration and dance the night away at the Viva Music Festival, where top DJs including Tomorrowland’s Mad Mac will be heating up the night with their live party music at the Megaworld Boulevard.
Capping off the night in
spectacular fashion is the Glitters in the Sky, a grand fireworks display that will light up the sky at 10 p.m.
