‘The Alley’ by Vikings is an Instagrammable foodie haven
Walking through The Alley by Vikings, the first eat-all-youcan a la carte food hall in the country, is like navigating a street brimming with yummy and diverse cuisines that taste as good as they look. This new haven for young and adventurous foodies looking for an exciting dining destination is under the Vikings Group, which has helped popularize the buffet concept among Filipino diners.
The Alley combines the elements of international street-inspired concepts in a more relaxed and casual vibe for diners who want to try dishes prepared upon order. At this food hall that is open for lunch and dinner, customers can choose dishes from 15 stalls and come back for their favorites as many times as they want. There are also food carts offering dirty ice cream, fish balls and other street foods. Here, there’s no limit to what customers can eat and drink. All they have to do is pick out and place their orders with the friendly staff, who will prepare the dishes fresh and fast.
FIT FOR ALL CRAVINGS
The Alley offers a wide array of food choices. Street Wok gives those hawkermarket feels with its range of Southeast Asian dishes. Hao Chi offers a fine assortment of Chinese dim sum and dishes, while Yatai brings in specialty Japanese goods. Pinoy foodies can get their fill from Frituen Batsoy, as well as a taste of authentic Kapampangan cuisine by Atching Lilian.
Continental cuisine is represented by Buono with its selections of pasta; Spanish-style comfort food at Monte Calvo; Lost & Pound’s burgers, wings and fries, while those looking for great pizza should check out the New York Pizza stall. Appetizers and starters are available at Antipasto Blvd., while fresh seafood cooked your way can be found at O’sean 11.
Have your fill of alcoholic beverages and cocktails at Kegz Bar, while coffee lovers can choose their brew at Nord’s Coffee Bar. The Alley also has a modern take on ice cream, with a nitrogen ice cream bar called Hunneycomb that serves frozen flavored favorites in a trendy way.
IT’S IG-READY!
The Alley’s interior design is fresh and quirky, with mismatched elements that come together to form a photogenic ambience. The fanciful mix of designs ranges from elegant Victorian seats to fun pop-art animal prints, modern industrial chic and Wild West saloon booths all combined to create a fun background for group photos. On the ceiling are avant-garde chandeliers and clouds that make you feel like you’re walking through a food park on a sunny day.
For those celebrating a special occasion or who simply want to enjoy more privacy, there is a func- tion room that can accommodate up to 60 people.
The Alley offers its appetizing range of eat-all-you-can delights at P688 for adults on weekday lunch and P888 for adults on weekday dinners. On weekends and holidays, lunch and dinner are at P888 for adults and on any day, kids below three feet eat free.
The Alley is located on the second level, Phase 1, UP Town Center, Ayala Mall, Katipunan, Central Diliman, Quezon City.
