ICD sets annual convocation
The International College of Dentists-Philippines Section (ICD-PS) will hold its 51st annual convocation and banquet on Jan. 28, at the Manila Polo Club.
With its theme, “New Beginnings,” the event will have Rep. Geraldine Roman (1st Dis Dr. trict, Bataan) whose advocacy is to uplift the communities of Bataan which is in harmony with ICD’s motto “Recognizing Service and the Opportunity to Serve” as its guest of honor.
The event will be highlighted by the induction of the newly elected Fellows for 2018 headed by the incoming president, Dr. Maria Liza Centeno; Dr. Preciosa Tanagon, president-elect; Dr. Gary Brillo, vice president; Sheryl Borja, secretary; Dr. Gladys Tong-So, treasurer; Dr. Fidel Bondoc, auditor; Dr. Vicky Pangilinan, PRO; Dr. Georgina Remulla and Dr. Cecille Diego, directors; B-Gen. Reynaldo Torres, immediate past president; Dr. Hermogenes Villareal, councilman; and Dr. Vivian Gabaldon, editor. Also included in the event is the investiture of new fellows, and life fellows.
The Philippines Section or Section IX, with 127 members nationwide, has been recognized as an autonomous section since 1966. Since then it had several laudable projects and relevant contributions to both professional and community development.
ICD is a pre-eminent honorary organization of the world’s dentists from around the world, who work to improve the profession through sharing and disseminating advances in dental knowledge to benefit their respective communities.
