Two persons who had just moved into an apartment in Quezon City found P10 million worth of shabu hidden in the ceiling, police said yesterday.

Visual effects compositors Joelou Peralta, 22, and Michael Bryan Bello, 32, discovered the shabu, wrapped in a plastic bag, in an opening in the bathroom’s ceiling.

“They investigated and discovered a heavily taped red plastic bag in the ceiling which they initially thought to contain a fetus,” Chief Superintendent Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director, said.

In an interview with reporters, Eleazar said Peralta and Bello informed Barangay Apolonio Samson officials about the plastic bag. Police officers who responded to the scene later found out the bag contained shabu.

Eleazar ordered an investigation to determine the apartment’s previous tenants.

He lauded Peralta and Bello, who moved into the apartment about two months ago, for immediately reporting what they discovered to the police.
