The excitement right now is o the charts as Travel Tour Expo 2018 opens tomorrow at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, where the biggest bundles of the best travel deals for the year are about to be o ered.

Those who are itching to travel know that when it comes to planning their trips, it is always a good thing to come in prepared. The best way to do this is by coming to the TTE as it plays host to over 400 exhibitors that include airlines, hotels, resorts, theme parks, cruise lines, travel agencies, tour operators, embassies, government agencies, and national tourism organizations.

So set your schedules, ready your purse, finalize your travel dates, and get ready to visit the TTE.

But before heading to the expo tomorrow, here are a few tips and tricks to assist you in navigating the more than 16,000 square meters of floor space that are strictly devoted for travel.

Early bird catches the worm

Gates open at 9 a.m. for the three-day run of the expo. However, it is better to come in extra earlier to get first dibs on the travel deals by being the first ones in line. Some visitors admit to lining up as early as 3 a.m. After all, the earlier you get inside the expo, the more time you have to assess the travel deals you want to have.

Do not forget your IDs

This is most important, especially if you are planning trips abroad that require passports and visas. Travel agencies will be there to assist you all the way with your booking, but of course, identification is always the first step.

Comfort is key

The Travel Tour Expo occupies the two floors of the SMX Convention Center. That would mean a lot of room to go around and inspect the different discounts and promos exhibitors have to offer. So it is best to come in comfortable clothes and shoes. Be sure to also bring only the necessary documents and amount of money needed for transactions. There are ATMs inside the convention center and the expo also allows card payments.

Catch the stage happenings

What is good about the Travel Tour Expo is that aside from the trips that you can book at low prices, you also have the chance to win exciting prizes from sponsors and the different exhibitors. From hotels giving away a night or two of free accommodations, to local and international theme parks raffling off free entrances for the family, to airlines wanting to fly you off to different local and international destinations, it is best to have your ears also glued to the stage activities. There’s no such thing as going home emptyhanded here.

Patience is virtue

The foot traffic at the Travel Tour Expo is known to reach hundred thousands. This year, for its silver anniversary, 140,000 is the expected number. With the numerous discounts and promos available, it is no question visitors do flock to the expo. With this, a little bit of good headspace is needed.

No reason to go hungry

If you are hungry, there is no need to go outside and go through the long lines at the entrance again. Inside the expo, you will find a wide range of food stalls that offer an assortment of dishes at very affordable prices. The Travel Tour Expo literally has its own food park within the venue.
