KSK is among the programs of SM Foundation to help energize local economies. It is geared toward the attainment of sustainable growth and demonstrates how SM Foundation is taking care of the communities near SM businesses. Through the program the SM Group provides the communities access to one of the basic needs: food, while at the same time providing avenues for better livelihood to combat poverty.

KSK has benefitted more than 15,300 farmers residing in different parts of the country since it was introduced in 2007.

Over the years, it has evolved into a two-pronged initiative intended to benefit not only rural farmers but urban dwellers as well.
