Ishin Denshin int’l music fest at MOA
Building bridges, bridging cultures. What else could be a better way to foster camaraderie and strengthen ties between two nations than through music? After all, it is the universal language that transcends age, race or creed.
This is the heart and soul of Ishin Denshin International Music Festival, which will be held tonight at 9 at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) open grounds.
Envisioned as an intercultural celebration between Japan and the Philippines, the 12-hour music festival is inspired by its adage — an embrace of meanings beyond words. “Ishin denshin” literally translates to “what the mind thinks, the heart transmits,” a Japanese idiom.
Headlining the star-studded line-up are Bamboo, apl.de.ap, Barbie Almalbis, Karylle, Kris Lawrence, Rocksteddy, Itchyworms, DJ Hello Kitty, Japh Dolls, Maria Gow, Miguel Escueta, Sae Ono, DJ Hannah Ichiko, Beverly, DJ Showd, Beni, DJ Ace Ramos, DJ Marc Marasigan, DJ John Montreal, DJ Daiki and DJ MVRXX with Alwyn Cruz.
Hosting the event are Luis Manzano and Daiana Menezes.
Aside from the performers, the music festival will also feature a food park that showcases the best of Filipino and Japanese street foods, as well as an activity park and cosplay activities.
Part of the proceeds from the concert has been earmarked for the Manny Pacquiao Foundation’s rehabilitation projects for the Marawi war victims.
Produced by Monde Luce Production, the music fest is a production of ALV Events International.
Gates open at 2 p.m. Concert starts 4 p.m.
