A safe, non-stop and hassle-free travel. This is what Genesis Transport System, Inc. (GTSI) guarantees to the riding public it caters from the North Luzon area, specifically the Clark Freeport Zone, to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
The brand-new, state-of-the-art buses, dubbed as GTSI’s P2P (point-to-point) bus service, started rolling out September of last year with two pioneering routes both originating from the Clark Freeport Zone. The first end point is the NAIA covering Terminals 1, 2 and 3; and the second is North EDSA with Trinoma as the loading/unloading area.
P2P buses are said to be among the palpable solutions of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) to address heavy vehicular traffic in Metro Manila. Initially, P2P service was confined to Metro Manila alone. The awarding of franchise of the Clark-NAIA P2P service to GTSI underwent a competitive public bidding.
Each Genesis bus unit is equipped with a Global Positioning System, CCTV cameras, individual USB ports, Wi-Fi, audio/video on board, reclining seats and the standard safety features such as individual seat belts. Apart from its amenities, well-trained drivers assure every passenger a worry-free and safe travel.

With regards to the P2P services, what can the riding public expect from your bus company?
Apart from our brand-new, safe and modern buses, OFWs and tourists shuttling between Clark International Airport and the NAIA terminals now have the option to
move by bus with ease and a guaranteed ontime trip schedules. What pushed the bus company to partner with the government?
Believe it or not, we are the only bus company operating in Luzon that serves the span of area that hosted the major US military facilities in the country. We are the only one serving the “Axis of the Bases.” GTSI serves Pampanga (host to Clark) and Baguio City (host to R and R site Camp John Hay). GTSI’s sister company, Saulog Transit, Inc., on the other hand, serves Olongapo City (host to Subic Naval Base) and Cavite province (host to Sangley Point). Even before the P2P was launched, we are the only shuttle operator serving the Clark International Airport. We still serve the shuttle needs of Qatar Airways, which carries a majority of passengers at Clark International Airport.
That’s why it’s but natural that we made the bid for the Clark-centric P2P bidding. Several years ago, when we started the Clark Airport shuttle, we knew the viability angle was quite doubtful. But we told the CIAC people that we are committed to Clark. We want to see it thrive as a gateway. That commitment made us join the bidding process. What were your preparations in line with
the launching of GTSI’s P2P buses?
Our preparations were more than adequate. Aside from the brand-new fleet of buses, series of trainings and orientations for our drivers and conductors, we also allocated a budget to inform the public through advertising materials like distribution of flyers and leaflets, and also we utilized the social media for the announcement of routes and other things necessary to make the pioneering service viable.
We are conscious of the fact that this is the first provincial P2P bus service operation under the administration of Pres. Rodrigo Duterte. We want to succeed in this to prove that innovations such as the provincial P2Ps are not a result of whimsical decision by the government but a wise and strategic solution.
Are your service welcoming to PWDs, senior citizens, pregnant women, parent/s with kid/s? We take special care of these sectors. It is ingrained in our company philosophy. What are your next steps and/or future plans concerning quality transport service?
Among plans are fleet modernization, running more viable P2P services and improving our terminals, halfway stations and overall facilities.
