Global animal nutrition premix brand enters Phl market
Global brand Wisium Premix and Firm Services has entered the Philippine market as it eyes to get a chunk of the booming premix business and be one of the top five players in the next three years.
Wisium, one of the leading premix and additives companies in the world, is expanding its global footprint as it now offers feeds product design, quality control and training, and animal production in the Philippines.
“We have invested thousand of euros to have a great entry in the market. We envision to position ourselves as part of the top five big players in the market in the next three years,” Wisium Philippines sales director Michael Pasco said during the company’s launch. “There is a growing demand for protein and the Philippine economy has increased tremendously, there are more foreign visitors to cater. When we enter the market, it is not a crowded market, it is very receptive and open to ideas and innovation,” he added.
In the Philippines where there is a high demand for protein with legitimate natural additives for animal health, processes and performance by its more than 100 million population, the opportunity to add to the supply chain and manufacturing capacity follows Wisium’s business growth objective.
“Wisium wants to help meet the new challenges to feed producers, livestock farmers, and consumers as people’s requirements for healthy food and sustainable businesses consistently grows,” Wisium Philippines marketing director Daniel Olivo said.
“The potential remains very high since markets face constant challenges such as antibiotic reduction, and more generally alternative to medicines and also animal welfare issues. These concerns will have an impact sooner than expected in emerging markets as we are in a globalized world,” he added.
Wisium views its technologies and innovations in swine, broiler, chicken layer, pet care, and aquaculture as a match for the needs of the Philippine market for efficiency.
Wisium has committed to co-create value through sustainable partnerships, proposing an agile and “glocal” offer that combines a global expertise with local specificities, enabling the elaboration of tailor-made products and services adapted to diverse customer needs.
“We aim to grow faster in the premix industry. We also want to reinforce our customer centricity. We are also going to keep investing in communication because it is part of the key elements to make our value proposition known and understood by markets operators,” Olivo said.
Wisium offers independent advice on any aspect of production management including formulation, feedstuff and finished products control plans, raw material knowledge, nutritional requirements, health and farm management, industrial performance support and high-value added products.
