Award-winning screenwriter and one of the country’s master storytellers, Ricardo “Ricky” Lee (photo), unveils his newest Filipino novel titled Bahay ni Marta on March 10, 10 a.m. at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP). Venue of the book launch will be at PUP’s Claro M. Recto Hall located on the sixth floor of the South Wing of PUP’s Main Building in Sta. Mesa, Manila.

Bahay ni Marta is Lee’s third novel after the hugely popular romance Para kay B and horror-inspired Si Amapola sa 65 na Kabanata. The latest book is described as “a heartgripping tale of love, transgression and redemption.”

Lee’s memorable masterpieces, which include screenplays, fiction, nonfiction, novels and plays, have found their way into Filipino culture. Bahay ni Marta aims to achieve no less. Early reviews invite the reader to enter a world where “the seeming whimsical meets layers of truths so deftly and deeply woven. With its alchemy of fantasti- cal scenarios and relatable emotions, the reader can simply sing in recognition and insight towards the last few pages.”

The event features a program with special production numbers and Lee’s own revelation on what went on into the making of the book. The latest novel as well as previous published works of the author will be sold at discounted prices. Book signing follows after the program.
