SSS extends help to Mayon eruption victims

LIGAO CITY, Albay – More than 1,300 Bicolanos affected by the threats of ongoing eruptions of Mayon Volcano benefited from the relief operations conducted by the Social Security System (SSS) at Ligao City National Technical-Vocational School here last March 2.

SSS president and chief executive officer Emmanuel Dooc, a Bicolano himself, said that more than P600,000 were allotted for the relief packages given to displaced members, pensioners and their families in six barangays in Ligao City.
