Roberts AIPMC kicks off 25th anniversary celebration
ROBERTS Automotive and Industrial Parts Manufacturing Corporation (RAIPMC) started its operations in February 1, 1993. It was founded by its chairman Robert G. Cheng, who was also the man behind Uratex Foam, the biggest foam manufacturer not only in the Philippines but also in Southeast Asia. Currently, the company’s president and CEO is Natividad Cheng, recipient of Entrepreneur of the Year Philippines in 2017.
Roberts is one of the pioneers in the industry that feature integrated production of automotive and industrial parts translating to efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and consistent quality to address the OEM’s diverse needs, boasting of having one of the largest support group, all dedicated to ensuring customer satisfaction. Roberts manufactures automotive parts like radiators, leaf springs, mufflers, steel tubes, u-bolts and automotive body parts.
This year Roberts AIPMC celebrates its 25th anniversary. And as part of this milestone, the celebration is marked by the inauguration of its newly purchased machines and facilities (600/400 tons mechanical press machines and complete welding assembly facilities) intended for the government’s Comprehensive Automotive Resurgence Strategy (CARS) program to manufacture body parts and mufflers.
It was attended by the following industry executives and directors: Natividad Cheng, president-Roberts AIPMC/ Uratex; Eddie Gallor, EVPRGC Group; Peachy Medina, managing director-RGC Group; Romulo Manlapig, Board of Investments CARS Program Director; Marisa Concepcion, Board of InvestmentsCARS Program Manager; Takumi Sasaki, MMPC-VP for purchasing; Arnie Janolo, MMPC First VPLogistics; Kazushi Kasugai, metal tech engineering director; and Ferdie Raquel Santos, PPMA president.
“It is my honor to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Roberts Automotive and Industrial Parts Manufacturing Corp. This day would not have been possible without the resilience and dedication of our management team and associates. They have been supporting one another in the spirit of teamwork and camaraderie, to produce the best products for our customers,” said Roberts AIPMC president, Natividad Cheng.
“The company name Roberts was named after our chairman Robert Cheng, who is also the founder of Uratex, the leading polyurethane foam not only in the Philippines but also the entire Southeast Asia. Twenty-five years after our chairman founded Uratex, which is also celebrating its 50th year this year, Roberts AIPMC was established. It is because of the solid reputation that Uratex had in the OEM industry that there were clamors for our chairman to venture into automotive metal parts, and the answer to that was Roberts AIPMC,” narrated Eddie Gallor, EVP of the RGC Group.
ROBERTS AIPMC IS ALSO WELL-KNOWN IN THE AFTERMARKET SEGMENT FOR ITS TOPNOTCH BRANDS, EVERCOOL RADIATOR AND TIGER LEAF SPRING.
Evercool Radiator has been trusted for both the aftermarket segment nationwide and highly recognized by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), including Mitsubishi Motors Philippines, Isuzu Philippines, Columbian Motors, Pilipinas Hino, and Suzuki Philippines.
With an ISO 9001:2008-certified quality management system, JIS-compliant (Japanese International Standard) materials, and a manufacturing process that subjects each Evercool radiator to a number of rigid quality and durability tests, it assures motorists of a hassle-free drive.
Tiger Leaf spring (Tiger Super Molye), on the other hand, is also one of the flagship brands of Roberts AIPMC. Combining comfort, safety and durability, Tiger Super Molye has been well received by the market and is considered the most popular leaf spring brand in the Philippines. Tiger Super Molye was also the first to introduce locally manufactured parabolic leaf springs.
On its 25th year in the automotive industry, Roberts AIPMC owes its success through the hard work of its employees and the continued support and patronage of its customers.
