The Philippine Star

A culmination of 25 magical years

-

Some of the brightest Star Magic artists gathered for a day of reminiscing and bonding with family, friends and partners at Restaurant 9501 last month to celebrate the unveiling of the Star Magic 25: The Coffee Table Book.

Conceptualized and headed by Star Magic emeritus Johnny Manahan, the coffee table book is a first in the talent management arena that eventually became the perfect culmination of the agency’s 25th-anniversary festivities.

In collaboration with ABS-CBN Publishing, Star Magic 25: The Coffee Table Book chronicles the history of Star Magic as an agency, its victories and the unique stories of many of its stars then and now.

Former Star Magic artists including Claudine Barretto, Heart Evangelista, Megan Young, KC Concepcion, Camille Prats, John Prats, Paolo Contis, Empress Schuck, Rafael Rosell, Serena Dalrymple and Pia Wurtzbach, among others, glistened on the coffee table book’s pages.

Among the book’s highlights are the stunning photos of Star Magic’s former and newer love teams, who have cemented the romance genre in the big and small screens. There’s Kristine Hermosa and Jericho Rosales, Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin, John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo, Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson and the likes of Liz Quen, Josh Lia, El Nella and Kath Niel.

A special part of the coffee table book reunited some of Ang TV’s original cast members like Jolina Magdangal, Thou Reyes, Antoinette Taus, Lindsay Custodio, Roselle Nava, Angelu de Leon, Camille Prats, Jan Marini, Victor Neri, Gio Alvarez, Guila Alvarez and Angelica Panganiban.

The longevity and individual milestones of Star Magic icons Piolo Pascual, Jericho, John Lloyd, Bea, Angelica, Jodi Sta. Maria, Claudine, Jolina and Kristine represented the agency’s biggest success.

Star Magic 25: The Coffee Table Book is truly a musthave, visual legacy for everyone who has come to love Star Magic, its artists and the values that it represents as an agency. The coffee table book is available in leading bookstores nationwide.
