If you want to ditch rice this summer for an equally mouthwatering carb, try the Seafood Arabiata pasta with an assortment of fish, clams and shrimp dressed in smoky tomato sauce and garnished with fresh parsley and parmesan cheese.

2. I Love You, Tofu, P165

Everyone knows that tofu is packed with nutrients so it’s the perfect summer go-to meal that doesn’t compromise good taste. Buku Buku Kafe’s version is made up of tofu and meatballs with French beans, coriander, sweet-and-spicy sauce for dipping, and fried mushroom rice. You may ask them to replace the white rice with brown rice.

3. Vegan Quesadillas, P165

As the name suggests, it’s super healthy and tasty, too. The melted cheese, caramelized onions, spinach, and sautéed shiitake mushrooms with corn salsa and mango chutney create explosive flavors filling a toasted tortilla wrap. Best paired with the signature House Tanglad juice or Green Apple Mint juice.

This has got to be one of the café’s goto dishes — perfect as an appetizer or snack any time of day. Garlicky toasted baguette slices are paired with an amazing roasted malunggay-cheese dip plus kamote chips on the side.

5. Green Papaya Salad, P199

If you’re serious about fitness and follow a strict diet, this salad made with shredded papaya, an assortment of fruits and vegetables and topped with honey-citrus dressing can be a good starter or standalone meal. Goes well with the English breakfast tea.
