LPU named top HRM, tourism school

-

The Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) is the top HRM and Tourism school in the country, according to UniversitipsPh, an online guide on universities, for Senior High School graduates, to help them make the right choice for their college education.

The LPU has five campuses – Manila, Cavite, Batangas, Laguna and Makati, with the Manila and Batangas campuses proclaimed by the Commission on Higher Education as Centers of Excellence for Hotel and Restaurant Management and for the Tourism programs.

LPU’s College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management (CITHM) has partnered with the Dusit Thani College, the most prestigious Hospitality Management school in Thailand, the graduates of which are sought after by de luxe hotels, resorts and tourism establishments in that country. This partnership has further strengthened LPU’s CITHM curricula, and is a plus factor for its graduates.

The LPU-Manila campus averages an enrolment of 9,000 students per semester, for its HRM and Tourism programs, although this decreased the past two years due to the Senior High School requirement of the K-12 Program. However, starting next schoolyear, enrolment is seen to start reverting back to its original numbers as the first batch of college freshmen will now be taken in by the university.
