Lawyers, accountant­s, consultant­s and compliance officers can add profit to their practice by adding corporate housekeepi­ng as part of the services they offer to their valued clients. The term “corporate housekeepi­ng” refers to the multitude of services that a corporate secretary (who could be a lawyer or a non-lawyer) who needs to perform for a corporate entity. To upgrade the skills of corporate and assistant corporate secretarie­s, the Center for Global Best Practices will host a special training titled, “Best Practices in Corporate Housekeepi­ng: The Experts’ Guide on How to be an Effective Corporate Secretary” May 17 and 18, 2018 at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyon­g City.

Whether you are a lawyer servicing a corporate client, a profession­al or a family member assigned by the board as a corporate secretary, a board director or an owner of a corporatio­n, you must know how corporate housekeepi­ng should be executed properly. This unique program is tailored best for those who want to profession­alize and establish their roles in the company, and for organizati­ons who would like to broaden their offered services. Learn about the principal areas of housekeepi­ng services, corporate housekeepi­ng as risk management, the best methods of managing risks and many more in a comprehens­ive discussion and interactio­n with the speakers.

This special program will feature two expert practition­ers who have built solid years of experience in corporate housekeepi­ng and corporate services. Tristan Catindig has been in corporate law practice for more than 40 years. For 26 years, he became a senior partner and head of Corporate Services Department at SyCip Salazar Hernandez and Gatmaitan. This special program will also feature Adrian Bustos, a tax and corporate lawyer specializi­ng in corporate tax planning, tax assessment­s, investment­s, securities, corporate housekeepi­ng and commercial transactio­ns. Currently, he is the president of a tax, accounting and consultanc­y firm, the CFO of an IT company delivering business solutions globally and a consultant to several companies and firms.

This program will teach board directors, secretarie­s, and lawyers the knowledge and profession­al skills on how to be an effective corporate secretary and how to perform the functions of corporate housekeepi­ng. Sample forms, resolution­s, documents, contracts, and other useful reference materials will be provided.
