Drug war: 3 sus­pects slain; P1.7-M shabu seized

Three sus­pected drug per­son­al­i­ties were killed in stings in Bu­la­can on Wed­nes­day.

Robin No­goy, 37, a res­i­dent of Barangay Real Cac­arong, Pandi town; an alias Atong of Sta. Cruz, Guigu­into and a cer­tain Amang of Cut­cot, Pulilan drew their guns when they sensed they had sold shabu to un­der­cover agents, po­lice said.

Sa­chets of shabu, guns and marked money were re­port­edly re­cov­ered from the fa­tal­i­ties.

At least 27 other drug push­ers were ar­rested in si­mul­ta­ne­ous anti-drug op­er­a­tions in Bu­la­can. They re­port­edly yielded 125 sa­chets of shabu.

Mean­while, in Rizal, Lyka Camille Vera and Michelle Bay­lon were ar­rested at the Q Plaza park­ing lot in Barangay San Isidro, Cainta af­ter sell­ing shabu worth P500,000 to po­lice­men who posed as buy­ers yes­ter­day, ac­cord­ing to Chief Su­per­in­ten­dent Guillermo Eleazar, Cal­abar­zon po­lice di­rec­tor.

The sus­pects also yielded a bag weigh­ing 250 grams of shabu worth P1.25 mil­lion and an­other bag of marijuana val­ued at P1.2 mil­lion.

Eleazar said the hus­bands of the sus­pects, who are de­tained at Camp Bagong Diwa, are mem­bers of a drug ring led by an­other in­mate An­to­nio Cis­neros.

Cis­neros’ group is said to be a ma­jor sup­plier of il­le­gal drugs in Metro Manila and nearby prov­inces.
