Moreover, a truly inspiring recognition worth celebrating is their win for Best Condo Development (Philippines), surpassing all other developments in the country and making AppleOne the very first nonManila based real estate company to win such category, and The Residences at Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort a truly noteworthy development for the country.

Among the criteria for Development Awards are design and amenities, location and sales success. Criteria for the Design Awards include use of space, design concept and innovation, and construction and materials.

The Property Awards by The PropertyGuru are the region’s biggest and most respected real estate awards program. It annually recognizes real estate excellence in Cambodia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Japan, Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Mongolia, South Korea and Australia. Judging is rigorously and fairly done by an independent panel of industry experts.

Now on its sixth year, the ceremony looks to award excellence for the top and emerging names in real estate and celebrate the best developers, projects and designs from Mega Manila, Cebu and Davao, as well as emerging resort destinations.

The Residences at Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort is the first Sheraton branded residences in the region and the first to be built according to brand standards from the ground up. This, along with location, strategic price points and other relevant factors, make it the first of its kind outside Luzon.

Citing economic, tourism and lifestyle trends, Ray Go Manigsaca, president of AppleOne Properties Inc., believes that the time is right for such a development.

“We felt there was a far-ranging market right at the onset. The influx of investors has increased and foreigners are seeking options for a home in a tropical location such as the Philippines. The income of Filipinos has risen, the lifestyle has changed and with that is a shift in preference, from the traditional home to a modern way of living,” he said.

Manigsaca made special mention of receiving the Best Condo Development Award, “It was a big surprise, we didn’t expect it. We are thankful to PropertyGuru for considering a provincial developer to win it, and honored that it is us.”

The Residences at Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort will stand alongside Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort on a 3.8-hectare property in Punta Engaño in Mactan Island, Cebu. A premier development, The Residences
