‘ART FOR RED’AT S MAISON
Galerie Francesca and S Maison recently presented “Art For Red,” a charity art gala and exhibit, which featured the works of the country’s hotshot artists, dahlings.
Featured artists were Benjie Cabangis, Michael Cacnio, Ross Capili, Valeria Cavestany, Dansoy Coquilla, Thomas Daquioag, Mario de Rivera, Vincent de Pio, Gregory Halili, Raul Isidro, Raul Lebajo, Romeo Lee, Carlo Magno, Jason Moss, Juvenal Sanso, Ian Veneracion, Roy Veneracion, Nestor Olarte Vinluan, Betsy Westendorp and Edwin Wilwayco, among others. The fun part was that guests were able to participate in the humanitarian efforts of the Philippine Red Cross, which is the beneficiary of the week-long exhibit. Philippine Red Cross (PRC) chairman and CEO Richard Gordon attended the event, together with PRC secretary general Atty. Oscar P. Palabyab and Susanne Tiausas of Galerie Francesca. They even sold Filipino Artists in their Studios Volume 2, a collection of portraits photographed by José “Pinggot” Zulueta of Manila Bulletin and artworks of the Philippines’ most prominent and legendary, as well as emerging artists at their private workspaces. This is a take-off from Filipino Artists in their Studios Volume I, which had a series of “The Artists Gallery” exhibits at SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, SM Aura Premier and SM North EDSA The Block.
Check it out, palanggas. After all, “Art for Red” is one of the many cultural events at S Maison.
