Stand-up comic Mike Unson at Johnny B. Good

Funny on all Tuesdays of June and July 31 at Johnny B. Good restaurant and bar, which is located at the third level of Glorietta 3, Ayala Center in Makati City.

A 15-year veteran in the local stand-up comedy scene, Mike has had performed at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Solaire Grand Ballroom, PICC, NBC Tent and Waterfront Hotel Cebu Grand Ballroom. He has shared the stage with Hollywood Fil-Am actor Rob Schnei- der, best-selling author/ humorist David Sedaris and Fil-Am comic Rex Navarette.

Mike is one of the featured comedians in the

iFlix series Hoy Bibig Mo. He is known for building up comic rhythm with impeccably timed punchlines and thought-provoking insights, leaving the audience in stitches and wanting for more.

Mike and his brand of stand-up comedy put emphasis on everyone’s headscratching, cringe-worthy or even absurd life experiences. His arsenal of jokes includes his views on urban life, childhood memories, relationships and interactions with everyday people. Also performing is Mike’s Comedy Mayhem troupe, composed of ventriloquist Ruther Urquia, standup comedians Eric Salazar, Sergio Belarus, Korte Supremo and Edward Chico, and spoken-word artist Jerome Cleofas.

Mike is part of the creative team of GMA 7’s top-rating sitcom Pepito

Manaloto. He was also part of the Men’s Room on Studio 23 and a recurring guest in Jojo Alejar’s The Medyo Late Night Show.
