Drug war: 6 slain in Bulacan, Calabarzon

Six drug suspects were killed in Bulacan and Southern Tagalog provinces in the past two days.

Jonathan Tactac, 35, and Phil Bryan Tan, 40, reportedly drew their guns when they sensed they had sold shabu to anti-narcotics agents who posed as buyers in Barangay Muzon, San Jose del Monte.

A 9mm caliber pistol, a .22 caliber pistol and 11 sachets of shabu weighing 30 grams with an estimated street value of P150,000 were recovered from the fatalities, according to Senior Superinten­dent Chito Bersaluna, acting Bulacan police director.

In Laguna, police said Donato Sarsaba fired at anti-drug operatives in Barangay Tagapo, Sta. Rosa.

Roselle Javier, alias Digong, allegedly shot it out with police officers who tried to arrest him during a pot session in Barangay Sta. Clara, Batangas City. His companions were arrested.

In Quezon, Jerome and Jeffrey, both surnamed Masalunga, reportedly engaged police officers in a shootout in a drug bust in Barangay 10, Lucena.

Meanwhile, in Cavite, two unidentifi­ed robbery suspects were killed in alleged shootouts with responding police officers in Barangay Zambal, Tagaytay on Tuesday and Sabutan, Silang yesterday.

Noli Maraño and Elan Mark Domdom, alleged members of the Concepcion gun-forhire gang, reportedly shot police officers who served a warrant of arrest at their hideout in Barangay Sagrada, Libon, Albay yesterday. –
